DES MOINES, IOWA - February 14, 2005 -- The authors of "A Disgrace to the Profession" announced today that they had opened a new weblog or "blog". The address is http://disgrace.blogs.com. It is their intention to post news about their book as well as comment on current trends in education.
"Our book wasn't the final statement that we have to make on the state of education in the United States", said Charles Newton. "There isn't a day that goes by where we don't have a phone call or e-mail from readers about the book or current affairs in education. We continue to have something to say and we're going to say it."
The weblog contains content from the original "A Disgrace to the Profession" web site and will be the primary location for future news and opinions about and by the authors.
